It turns out first grip wasn't covered by warranty, but dealer changed it as a goodwill gesture (but didn't tell me this until today!!)
Agreed a reduced price to change 2nd grip as Bike was in for a service anyway, so don't have the original.
They didn't have to offer a deal but did so I think that's fair enough- confidence now restored !!

Please can I have your wonky old grip that wont heat.
If you take off the switch cover you will see the heated grip electrical connector. When it stops working and there is power at the connector you know its the grip. If there is no power at the connector, the fault is further up the system.
