Has anyone got any suggestions for heated grips for my '91 R80GS? My Oxford cheapies have given up after 3 years on the bike - no complaints, but it's time to replace 'em. Don't want to spend a fortune so...

Hi Sam, I have a couple of sets of the Dr Bike grips from j&s - the ones with the rotary controller like the older style Oxford ones. 40 notes delivered off ebayup:
I'm hoping santa is going to drop me another set in shortly (if SHE has remembered....)

Having had aftermarket HGs which were great at the time and now enjoying the delights of BMW oems have you considered getting some from a breakers ?
I've got the Oxford classic grips on my '90 R100GS and they're great, way warmer than the OEM ones![]()

These are a great, must have accessory - 2 stage heated grips keep you comfortable and warm. Riding with these really do extend your riding season!
Superb quality US made grip heater kit. Fed up with harsh, hard rubber heated grips from other manufacturers? Then we have the answer. This quality kit allows the heating elements to be fttted neatly and discretely under the original manufacturer grips or your own favourites

fitted them to ktm250 and 950
gs1200 and my ccm604 and sl230 ,mt350

The only thing I don't like about them is the wiring 'knob' that sticks out to the left of the throttle grip. My current set stops me using my bar muffs. I wonder if its possible to find something similar without?
Hi Phil, thanks for this!! I've just been having a look. They seem to be exactly the type I've on the bike now. They have worked very well - especially for the price.
