Heated grips

I need to replace the switch on my 80Gs, not because it's broken, but because I forgot about it when fitting the new dash and they are a pain to fit into a home made dash, so I plan on using a on off on waterproof toggle switch and possibly two different coloured Led's,

Anyhow if memory serves me right, they use full power on both settings, but the switch incorporates a resistor, on the half hot circuit, anyone know what value resistor is used?

now sorted, and working, 6 ohm resistor works great, as expected the resistor heats up, but its out in the airflow, switch is a 3 pin on off on mini toggle!


bike is now running, not running great, but the fuel is 8 months old!

I had problems starting the bike as the advance unit was stuck open, clean out sorted that, but I may have to consider replacing will full electronic!
