Heated hand grips

Emailed several senior people at MCN asking them to write an article on this issue but didn't get a reply so sent a letter to the editor asking the same.

Again, heard nothing which I think it totally unacceptable.

Even if they don't want to highlight the issue they could at least acknowledge my email and or letter.

Bunch of rude arrogant *****

Dear SteveC10

Nutty says, we at MCN don't care whether your handgrips work or not. Suggest you try Samaritans or top yourself.

I guess it's OK for all those who work at MCN because they don't have to buy or fund the running costs of the bikes they ride. Oh well, I'm sure they're not immune from being ripped off with other things in life and sooner or later will be. In my view, there's no excuse for arrogance ie not replying. As far as I'm concerned if this is Nutty's and those at MCN's view and answer they don't deserve to have their articles read and shows they have limited intelligence.

Back to basics, rode home in 10c last night, grips on full, can just (if I try hard) feel the grips warming up..
Let's face it guys, we're not gonna get a retrofit..
The new Ducati is looking good..

Yes, went over your way today to the Aviation Heritage do and it was quite chilly. Heated grips on full all day and barely warm to the fingers. Useless !

Went up to the Poderosa today, grips on full - end of May and still not too warm.

That new Multistrada does look good. Think I will book a test ride soon.

Went there myself, on my WC, must have parked a couple of bikes away, white TE with wire wheels, never thought as it was a Ducati meet, primarily went there to talk to the new Multistrada owners, apparently their heated drips work..

Never spotted you Phil :-) todays event is organised by UKBeg (Buells ) and is our annual event to raise money for our charity ,a portion of the entry fee that bikers pay goes to the charity :-)

Yes, my bike was parked just up the line from yours, mine white TE with cast wheels. I saw that yours had a GSAP fitted and my mate wondered how come yours had it and mine couldn't even though they were both 63's. Yours must have been slightly later than mine I presume.

Hi Kev, I'm surprised u didn't spot me having a good look at the Buells, there were some very nice ones there, notably a couple of white ones, a credit to their owners, pop round for a coffee sometime & a catch up.. I'm home till 3rd June now..

Yep, mine was one of the first 2014 models bought from Pidcocks with the steering damper & white suspension spring, Oct 2013 I think.. (Still hadn't made the heated grip upgrade tho) I waited for them (Bmw) to sort out their trails before purchasing..
I'm at Willingham woods on Wednesday night for a meet weather permitting if your free & reasonably close.. LN8 3RE i think..
The Gear shift pro.! A fantastic bit of kit if used wisely, but I can get smoother changes both up & down the box with careful use of throttle & gears, but if ur in a hurry on tight hairpin downshifts it's the bollox, but no substitute for rider operation & clutch work if I'm being totally honest..

Just had mine serviced and asked them to check out the heated grips and low and behold they are fitting new throttle side under warranty as big difference in heat generated.....
