Helicopter tape

Hi, can some one tell me if helicopter tape is suitable for surface's that get hot, like side engine case's, (not on a gs) or will it just melt.

It all depends on what you are calling helicopter tape.

Most people would go for 3M 8671HS I guess..popular tape
Had to dig around, and eventually found 160 degrees.

It's not cheap. I bought some a while back to cover the wear areas on my carbon pushbike, and also added a bit to where my trews rub on the tank of my NC. Not used any on the GS tho.

You perhaps need 2m at most. £15 isn’t excessive
