I am new to this so go easy.
I have just increased the rear suspension preload on my 2005 R1200GS. When I tried to increase the damper screw it just spins. It was stiff initially, but now it spins. I feel it may have snapped, but it will be at the correct setting at time of snapping. Can this be left as is, or will I need to replace/repair.

I suppose it very much depends on wether or not you are happpy enough with the damping as it is ! Do you ever carry a pillion ? if you answer yes and no then leave it alone otherwise it needs fixing.
IIRC the adjustment damping wise on those units was not particularly good anyway and at 10 years old the whole thing is probably ready for replacing so if you can afford it and want to bother bite the bullet and get some wilburs

I had the same adj screw do the same on mine, I guess the bike will have decent milage on by now.
I wouldn't bother repairing just the broken screw as the unit itself would need a complete overhaul or a replacement. You'll certainly notice the diffference with a new one fitted. I'd do the front as well imho.

Mods, please move to the correct section :rob
