R1100gs, my FD bearing is groaning.
I live in bradford, can you recomend anyone in or arround bradford.
I heard of a guy in hudersfield but I dont know where he is or what he,s called.

Also an update on my Knoked off by old bidy two weeks ago.
Already paid out for damage, bike total loss ,bought it off them repaired it fairly easily and cheapely so apart from the whole thing being a pain in the but I am just happy to be back on the road .

Bearing

Sounds like you have some spannering skills, do it yourself easy job to change and cheaper to.

I definatly would do myself but the small bearing to prop shaft has play as well and I dont have the deep special socket to get at it .
Plus insn,t there some pre load to do on rebuild. I dont have strain guage .JUst found a guy Andy Howarth at huddersfield gunna do the 3 bearing,s labour tax evrithin £250 .
Is that reasonable I dont know but I just read of one guy paid £450 for same . Dont know where he got robbed but they saw him comming.

Off trialsin int woods now with me mate on our honda c90,S Nobly tyres and all ,what a laugh always ach with laughing.

Hi Jono...Yes, there is a guy in Huddersfield...bloody Ace bloke he is at Beemer work..He works in a Unit bang next door to Tony Archer ...THE Bike Seat upholsterer.

If it helps I had mine done last year by our local ex BMW indie, he changed both inner and outer bearings on the FD and replaced the main seal for £150 inc parts.
