I just need a bit of advice after having fitted a new remus end can and removing the catalytic converter along with the exhaust baffle.
I now find that the bike has noticbly more vibration especially through the footpegs and wonder if this is normal.
I have also fitted a K&N filter. The lamba sensor is fitted correctly so any ideas would be welcome.

Mine is exactly the same, I assume it's the end can as with the cat removed and the standard pipe on it is fine. Soon as I put on the Remus it gives a load of vibration through the pegs.
Seems to be a case of 'They all do that sir'

Check the bolts are tight under the swing arm where the y piece joins. Then do a valve and TB check, that should sort it.

Im not saying you are wrong but unless the valves are way out of adjustment to the point or rattling or so tight they don't close correctly why would they make the engine vibrate ?
I only ask as 30 years as a car mechanic i have never come across valves a bit out which cause vibration or running problems.

The vibration MAY be due to the throttle bodies being out of synch, so I was suggesting valves first, then TBs. I thought that to just do the TBs would be bad advice as the valves would need checking to be certain things are ok. I am of course a home mechanic with very little experience, so I am glad someone can give better advice.
