help with Autocom

from my experience it should work fine. I have a, Zumo 500, superpro avi and a smart phone. I have my headset/mic hard widred to the autocom. The autocom is connected via bluetooth to the zumo and teh phone is connected via bluetooth. I either plug my ipod or phone via the headset port into teh autocom for music - if i get a call I answer via the zumo which then reduces the sound of the audio from the ipod ( if I use the phone it mutes completely but thats the phone doing it). Even though the system I have is 2007 (probably the same vintage as you) it works fine. Also if my wife is on teh back we both hear the music which also then mutes if we talk. The phone is a HTC Sensation, prior to that I had a Desire and prior to those various nokias. All have worked fine.

resistor 220 is coming out,they want £80 for bt dongle plus £15 for superpro full stereo lead.be aswell buying another unit.the other half will have to speak that bit louder.mmm thats not good,wonder if i could fit a resistor to her???

As everything noted above, 2009 autocom super avi pro, 2009 Bluetooth and had various nokias blackberrys and now an iPhone 4, iPod in through direct to the autocom never removed any internal components either, iPod fades when zumo or phone cuts in

So a reasonably large slice of pie to make something do what you are rarely (if ever) going to use.

If you are hellbent on the project, wait for the bits to come up for sale on UKGSer or Ebay. Between then and today you probably won't miss it.

Further to my earlier post re whipping out the resistor - I forgot to mention that my GPS is a 660 so its the only option for me as you can't split the outputs to wire/BT like the 550. However, it is a quick, cheap and 100% effective fix that just needs a good eye and a bit of care.
