Help with XCountry front brake problem please.

Thanks for reading, anyone got any ideas on this:
My XCountry has a pulsing front brake that has all the symptoms of a warped disc. Took the disc off and put it on a surface plate and she's absolutely true.
I've tried to clock the disc in situ but can't get a secure enough fixing.
Any suggestions or engineering services in the West Midlands that might resolve this?
I just know that if I take it to a dealers they will just suggest a new front hub or wheel.

Oh and yes, I do have a donkey. Starts first time but not so good in the wet.

Does the calliper move freely on it's mounting pins? or has it seized up?

I had this problem when I first got my X and solved it with a new disc. The problem was really bad but almost nothing visible in terms of a visible warp. Is there someone local who could loan you their front disc and/or wheel to try?

I assume that, as you have already de-mounted the disc, that all the fiber washers are present and in good order?

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. The bike had been stored for a long time before I got it so yes, I will take a much closer look at the calliper. About 4 years ago I had a 650 twin and that suffered the same problem. That was a badly machined hub that was replaced under warranty so I hope it's not that.
I will post the calliper inspection result......

Oh and yes mike, the washers were all present and appeared ok. Maybe a fresh set to give a little movement might help.

If it is a quick pulsing in that last few feet of a stop then check your head bearings

Judder

Yes, its not quite a judder that I would expect form head bearings and seems to be in sync with the wheel rotation. Its a pain in the ar$e as you can imagine in traffic and low speed handling. Its not my only bike so its been easy to ignore it but I must get it sorted so thanks for the replies.

Just back in from the garage and had the caliper all apart and all OK, no seized pins or anything. I will try and get a "try before you buy" disc if there is such a thing.

The latest

I've now measured the disc thickness and it does vary from 4.40 to 4.43 mm thick. It's hard to imagine that .03 difference would be 'feelable' unless anyone has a similar experience.
