I,m with Quinten & Stick ! BMW has to get their heads out of their azzes and give the boxer more top-end because it is exiting and fun and takes the last reason away to buy a KTM or Ducati !
As also a XR version of the GS or M1300GS for people like me or Stick and thousands others who ride hard on paved roads and see the GS as a comfortable and practical sport-bike would be aweosome ven if a 1250GS with sports-suspension and cast wheels is already a great bike !
And Stever where is the bad BMW quality ? Quality and reliability is always great but I had 19 boxers in my life and I really never had big problems...Looking back I had a bad rear-drive seal on a R1100S and 2 leaky rear main seals on 2 2012 cam-heads and a uneven machined flywheel on a R100R that caused the clutch to slip...All fixed under warranty and then these bikes gave me 50-65K miles of reliable service.My 1250's were flawless but I got a new battery this year due to my own fault not riding enough except for one 6000 mile holiday trip...Paint and castings are great but I also don't ride in winter on salty roads...But tell me what are these great bikes that are so much more reliable and of better build quality than a BMW 1250 GS ? THey must come from a different planet because I don't know of any...What I will say though I can do without keyless,could use 2 full size hardbags,prefer analog gauges to an I-phone screen and could use a boxer with 160-170 hp for an exiting top-end rush

THat would be finally enough because anything more on a upright bike would be taken away anyways by traction control...So what is the point unless you are on a full forward crouch like a S1000RR where everything above 200 hp probably don't make a difference anymore...
And yes I would love a modern version of the still sexy looking and fun to ride and practical R1100S...What would be not to love - a modern boxer that looks sexy,has Telelever and is equally fun to ride on the occasional trackday and still practical enough not to bust your balls everyday or on a vacation trip in summer

The RSV4 is much better than the upright Tuono on the track on on the road just as useless as a Tuono without centerstand and hard-bags to carry your stull dry&secure on a road-trip...Just another useless play-toy for a couple hours on a sunday afternoon...Not more,not less with a few dealers here and there and hard to get by parts...Italian shit called soul

THe RS660 is a nice beginner bike though.If I had a son getting into riding I would by him one...Much better than the gutless japanese high-revving 600 cc 4 cylinder shit...I should say also 1000cc 4 cylinder shit as the new Fireblade below 8000 rpm is even weaker than a CBR600...If this is even possible.Superior japanese engineering meets crazy/stupid EU regulations...At least BMW came up with shit-cam to show the azzholes Brussels the middle-finger
