have been trying to get a pair of gloves for some time, i have full winter gloves so im trying to get a pair of lighter ones but would like them to remain waterproof??? also as i was in hursts today myself and a friend were talking to alan? about the 1200s he said it reved and still pulled right past 6000 revs, my friend thinks the ecu unit might work in the gs i wonder though if it would lose its low grunt, oh and does anyone have a pair of Santiago boots-if so do you rate them, i like the gs ones but they seem a bit extrem thx all -btw red gs from jordanstown

gloves

Hi Tosser,

When I picked up my GS Adv I had no gear so bought the lot, jacket, boots, helmet and gloves...bought the GS gloves. Fit great, keep hands coola dn are waterproof with gortex liners.....nice ones :thumb

thanks i bought the jacket am saving for the trousers want the helmet or maybe the tour x do you meen the short gs gloves? surley theyre not waterproof as i said thx

I have Santiago boots. Very pleased with them. They felt a bit stiff first on in the show room and walking was a pain. They have have turned out to be very comfy, even walking in them. I find the exposed metal toe cap which raps round under the toes a little slippery on the road sometimes when dabbing a foot on the ground / manouvering the bike, but thats largely 'cos I'm on a tall bike (R12GSA) and can't get both feet flat on the fround but you get used to it.

The GS glove aren't waterproof, but great in the summer but guess you could add a liner to them as Amstel_Stu said. I have the BMW summer rain gloves too, which are waterproof, but found them quite warm in the recent heat which is not surprising as I dont think they are designed for that heat.
