Very nice. What area are the pics taken? We are heading up to Thurso in May and will head along to Durness then down to Ulapool and end our trip in Applecross. What part of Caithness are you living in? We are coming from Norn Irn.

Pics were taken on a loop from Melvich to Kinbrace over to Syre then up to Bettyhill and then a belt along the coast road. Plenty of good routes up West to get this far from the boat...

Wish I could get some time off work and get out on the bike, those pictures have put me right in the mood......

Nice photos, you had a good break in the weather.
Been on these roads on a regular basis.
You do get a real sense of remoteness on these roads.
Syre to Altnaharra B873 is another wee gem.

Head A9 south to just south of Helmsdale and keep your eyes peeled for a tiny road on the right signposted 'Glen Loth'.



You can get to it via Strath Halladale, but the views' better coming over from the A9.

Then up to Kinbrace or shorter run back into Helmsdale for massive fish supper at La Mirage.

I've noticed that wee road a few times on the way up the road and looked at it on the map. Just waiting for another break in the weather and I'll give it a shot! Will give it a go in the direction you mentioned. As for the fishes and chips.... Outstanding..
