Hi, long time since I've been on the forum, apologies for that - too busy riding
My 2009 GSA is getting a bit long in the tooth, with 53k on the clock; I was looking at upgrading to one of these new Watercooled, but I think they're a bit too pricey for me at the moment, so I'm looking at another year of saving before I can jump on one of those.
In the mean time, I see a lot of people talking about getting "Hilltop" done on their bike, which I understand to be some ECU remapping (bespoke for the bike). I have a few questions about it:
1, Does it need to be declared to your insurance company (officially)?
2, If you want to keep your BMW service stamps going, do you need to inform the service centre about it (in case they inadvertently mess with it)?
3, Has anyone had any *bad* experiences with it (from what I can tell, there are only good experiences)?
4, Is it likely to affect resale value on the bike (one way or the other)?
Many thanks all!
