I bought a 2006 1200GS in April with 18k miles.

Had Hilltop remap done in May at 19k miles.

All seemed fine, now done 25k. Just took it for a BMW service in preparation for Sept trip to Italy & Oct to Morocco.

In the pick up plenary session, they reported that their diagnostic check showed a fuel pump fault code. It wasn't specific and more of a change than defect, but might be the signal for a problem on the horizon.

I'm wondering if this is connected with remap & if I should be worried, or do something. Or is it something else. Some long trips ahead so want to sort it.

Has anyone else had this experience, if so please tell me what happens next?

Many thanks

Nothing to do with the remap...sounds like the diagnostics picked up an historic fault code that isn't there at the moment. It might just be a sign of something to come but not connected in anyway to a remap. I would just keep a spare FPC on the bike and ride it.
