I was enjoying riding around Tasmania a couple of weeks ago, when upon starting the ('14) bike and riding off, the ABS and ASC lights remained lit, the display lost both speedo readouts, and upon stopping I couldn't turn the engine off with the swear keyless ignition.
So I stalled the bike, restarted the engine, stalled the engine again for good measure, scratched the head and looked around for inspiration, none of which appeared.
The ignition timed out, I restarted the bike and rode off, everything was fine.
The bike had it's 20k kms service two days ago, and the service blokes could only surmise that the warning lights remained on because the bike thought it was stationary, and I couldn't turn the engine off via the ignition because the bike also thought it was moving.
"If it happens again, bring it back and we'll email Germany".
These WC 1200s are great bikes to ride, but there was something most satisfactory about the 1150's relative simplicity.
