Honda 400four

Honda rack, I had that added when I bought it.
Amazing what you can pack an a small bike, I saw one recently and was taken aback by how physically small it was. And we had a Force Ten, sleeping bags, mats, stove, personal gear and two 6ft lads on it and thought it was brilliant!
Then a mate joined us on his Z200 and three of us slept in that tent.
Ive been all over Europe 2 up and packed to raffters with equipment( not a Force Ten tho) but on a larger bike; has to be done when you want to watch the racing; :beerjug:

Good ole Henry Cole likes those. His favourite colour too. He said so. :D

The bike that changed biking in Britain for good.

Well, teenybop has done a lovely job bringing another iconic motorcycle back to probably better than new standard. Use it and enjoy it!

I had one back in 1980 ish but I never really gelled with it and after a little ride from Neath to Lampeter and back, I found it didn’t really suite me at all and I sold it, but make no mistake, the CB400 changed motorcycling for everyone.

When I started work at Marconi in Great Baddow there were 2 new ones in the motorbike parking, probably some of the last sold. One was burgundy with proper clip-ons and a Dunstall silencer and the guy looked like a rocker with open face helmet, goggles and trad leather jacket. The other was yellow and supplied new with colour matched Dunstall 3/4 fairing and Piper 4into1. They were both cool but the yellow one looked stunning.

The standard 4-1 exhaust on the 400/4 was a work of art.

Great job..! One of the first bikes I wanted as a learner, but never got one. Moved to an XS400 after passing my test.

That’s a lot of money to spend on a 400.
Was it you that spent that. Or someone else?

Reason I asked is I remember seeing an advert for it. Noticed the uneven spacing of the seat rivet above the 400 decal.

Funny what things I remember.
I have the original seat stored in the garage, seat rivet is in exactly same place as David Silver replacement. 👍

My sister's friend's boyfriend had a burgundy one back in the day. He'd put a fairing and clip ons on it and had a special pain job on it. Likewise his mate had a similarly improved blue CB750.
I thought they both looked stunning.
The friend was a dolly bird who rode a 250 Suzuki trail bike and had a lovely Barry Sheene replica jacket, I was smitten.

Q: What was it about the CB400 that significantly changed motorcycling please?

The number plate on my Forza came off a CB400.

Finally, congratulations on the restoration, it's a lovely looking bike.
