I have cast wheels on my mono...

I would've put more up right handlebars on, and would've kept the more forward foot pegs...

My latest toy:-

Recent new valves, guides and hardened valve seats,
New discs and pads.
New inner tubes front and rear.
New Conti TKC80's
Army Olive Drab paint ( with the patina of brush painted )
Forks stripped and powder coated. New seals, and stanchions.
Heavier weight oil and new progressive fork springs fitted.
OE R80st st fork gaiters
FlatRacer tubular steel fork brace fitted.
Custom billet Toaster Tan top brace
Thunderchild diode board
Odyssey battery PC925L
New GS mirrors
New OE hand grips
New cables
New petrol cap
Genuine army throwovers ( also BMW panniers racks still fitted etc )
s/s Silencers reduced by 10 inches
Iridium spark plugs
Carbs have been ultrasonically cleaned and rebuilt
Renthal ultra low bars ( no need to botch any wiring )
upgraded voltage regulator
EZ Pull Springs ( which go along way to reduce the throttle effort)
Ikon dial a ride rear shocks
Surefoot side stand
single seat/rack
Goodridge hoses all round
Frame brace ( welded in ! )
New 'round' rocker covers ( bolt on from the outside )


.........other than that ( and a few other things ) tis a standard R100RS :D
Big thanks to previous owners for some of the mods ( and all the stainless goodies etc ) :thumb2

I like that..really I do. I guess that silver bar is the frame brace? :nenau So does it make the bike handle differently ? (Ive never ridden one see..)

I like the look of the tyres.
What is it like riding on those tyres in the wet?

Only had the tyres fitted yesterday, so still bedding them in. Lowered tyre pressures to 25F 26R and put rear shocks onto lowest setting...absolutely superb handling :clap ( TKC80's were absolute crap on my Wilburs shocked R100GS para though :( ) Bike built for cruising and rallies :thumb2

The frame bar strengthens the cradle frame ( makes it into a strong box section) and is welded to the frame and is aircraft strength alloy. Rather than weld webbing/other structures to the headstock etc this was an eighties version to improve the handling developed by the Merkins
