Hot Airheads - Your PHOTOS please

A handsome bike, health to enjoy. You have been in one of my favourite riding areas, for me in NW Cumbria I tend to head north to SW Scotland or the borders for pleasure, rarely south into the lakes unless well out of holiday season.

Lovely bike. Looks like a non standard big tank? And an extra front mudguard stay and Lester wheels I see. Proper old school tourer 😎
It's a Heinrich 36 litre tank, good for 300 miles before reserve. The front mudguard stay is because it's a /6 front mudguard. Lester wheels and a modified swing-arm mean bigger section tyres are possible - 100/90 front and 120/90 rear. A number of other modifications, too.

Over on ADV, Stagehand did a write up about his time with a Rooney frame, similar to the one above.
He raced it at various events all over Europe and I think at least once in North Africa.
I think its a great thread, and tells about the trials and tribulations he had with it.
I think there is good idea in the concept of the frame, but some of the execution of the frame construction and build could be worked upon.
Have a read of the thread yourself an you decide.

And here are a couple of pictures of that bike.

This is another brilliant build on ADV.
One guy started it, it transferred to a 2nd, and then a third, and the 3rd fella really dropped lotsa $$$ in to it.

mmmmm, the wheels........

Had to do some work along the way, some unexpected, I suppose that comes with a custom build. Excellent read.
(am pretty sure that the third fella put Christini drive system on to a 950, thats an alright read as well)
