How do i remove front wheel?

Sorry for being a bit mechanically challenged when it comes to bikes. But can someone pls explain how you take the front wheel off? Is it just a case of using a 22mm allen key and loosening the pinch bolts? Do the discs just slide out of the pads and back in easily? Or is it a whole lot more complex than this?

You won't get the rim of the wheel past the calipers without removing at least one of them, so:

1. Remove two torx bolts from each caliper, and slide callipers back off disc. IMPORTANT: Don't operate brakes with calipers not on discs! Obviously be gentle with hoses etc. When replacing calipers onto discs you may need to gently prise the pads apart using a screwdriver or similar if they've fallen towards each other. (It may only be necessary to remove one caliper).

2. Loosen pinch bolt on axle.

3. Unscrew axle, using box-spanner in tool kit as a large hex-key, and withdraw axle.

VERY IMPORTANT - Make sure the ABS cable is routed correctly when replacing LH caliper - see "sticky" thread at top of this forum.

Be careful not to get any grease on discs - I generally clean mine with a solvent between fitting the wheel and refixing the calipers.

Make sure all is torqued correctly!

Make sure front of bike is supported before removing front wheel. I speak from experience!

Obviously be gentle with hoses etc.

I use a short (short enough to not strain the brake hoses) bungee cord wrapped around the front suspension arm then hooked through one of the caliper bolt holes.

A bungee cord through your engine bars works equally well if you have them.

When "backing off" the pistons into the caliper make sure you push them gently and slowly, too much force can damage the ABS, so I have been told.
