Thanks for this. I had some troubles with paying tolls because I am from USA and It it little bit harder for me to do this kind of payment in Europe. There are umpteen approved bikermate methods. Here is but a sample:
1. Buy a suitable blipper thing but some struggle to get these to link to their bank accounts.
2. Use a credit card, but some find that these don’t work.
3. Use a cash card. See two above.
4. Gather up five bikermates, of which one pays a single charge. The other four, steam through the open barrier , shouting “Fuck you, froggy!”.
5. Don’t use tolled roads, ‘cos they is well shit and like boring mate.
6. Get your pillion to deal with it. But only if it is all too hard or you can’t be arsed.
7. Ride up to the toll, remove your gloves very slowly. Pay the charge, begrudgingly. Fuck around doing stuff. Put your gloves back on really slowly. Ride through the barrier, slowly. This is THE protest method. It really puts one up the man.
Santander is no building society. Greedy corporate monsterFrom experience Building Society account IBANs don’t work, be it Santander or Nationwide.
I opened a Lloyds online account and had the blipper within the week.
You can. Google Santander IBAN. That's what I did for my tag.I can't get a blipper card because I bank with Santander so I use cash.
That said I use cash for food, petrol, supermarket shopping, cakes, tea/coffee - everything except hotels really, unless I can pay on check out in which case that is cash as well.

So, I found out also that USA credit card will not work in Europe and that was a huge problem for me. Because I had all my money on that card so i tried to withdraw them at local gas-station and it didn't work our well. Thanks for this. Maybe American Express ?It’s odd that a credit card did not work, irrespective of where in the world it is from.
Do you perhaps mean a ‘cash card’ ie. One that you have preloaded with money, such as the Caxton card we have here in Europe?

I get off the 'bike, remove my gloves, and faff about for ten minutes looking for change in my pockets, or pull and try different cards out of my wallet. Once paid, or told to fuck off, I spend ten minuted getting my act together .... and then fuck off![]()

Got a Fulli nomad + (ex APRR)
Does France, Italy, Spain and Portugal
Another way to pay your fulli bill is to get a revolute card and set the DD up on that. I don’t keep a balance on it but make sure I’ve got enough of a Euro balance to cover the bill when I’ve used it.Yes, thank you for the link.
I have read it but whilst I'd like a blipper I'm not desperate enough for one to go through all that faff - I'll stick with cash for the time being.
Thank you again though.
Was thinking of doing the same, especially as the current bike will be replaced a week after the current trip, so no point attaching it using the mount.I keep mine in my jacket pocket
Works fine, don't think it matters that much which way it's facing

I left mine at home when I went to the Ardennes, it didn’t work then so it’s not infallible.I have had it in my tank bag, internal jacket pocket, external jacket pocket, trouser pocket….. upside down….. back to front…… it’s always worked.
