After reading all the posts on mounting and powering up a 2610 ,I mounted it the same way as Cookie and also put a toggle switch in like Tommo :thumb but i powered the unit direct from battery and used the inline fuse thats on power cable, the toggle switch allows me to turn off power when theres no gps fitted. The reason for powering the unit direct from battery is so i can use gps without ignition turned on or engine running ,I know i could have wired into accessory socket as my Autocom is but i have notice my Autocom loses power when i start the bike probably because camus is redirecting all the power in battery to the starter motor ...

Congratulations Schtum :clap this thread has had 143 views and you are the first one to notice or feel the need to bring to my attention that my keyboard skills let me down again :type :D :D :D

Mines through the aux socket via a centech fusepanel, to be honest when starting the bike the screen does flicker but it doesn't switch off, you do however have to keep the ignition on if your using it for more than 30seconds after switching off.
