Still good bikes and can cover the ground
1600 miles this last week on the WAW and not disgraced in the company of bikes with twice the bhp

This year I'm riding my 1100 from Scotland to Eastern Turkey, Greece and then possibly down to Morocco if it's not too cold.
Next year the plan is to fly it to Delhi, ride up to the Ladakh, then over to Kathmandu where we will pick up a guide and ride through Tibet and China to Laos. From there we will make our way south to Bali (probably) where the bike will go to Darwin and we'll ride it via WA, SA, QLD to Sydney.
With proper preparation I don't anticipate any problems with the bike, although everything else could easily go to hell in a handcart....

The owner said it was not painted at allLooks good although some parts have clearly been repainted

One of mine has a black engine and the other has a silver engine
We both know that “a well ridden” 80-100 hp bike will be absolutely fine against a 180 -200hp bike on normal roads that we all tend to ride (cue someone with a BHP monster saying they redline it thru the gears and always get the best out of their bike…..
)

He’s just added the ‘R1150 bit’ as an extra - just a bit of customisation
The GS lettering is correct
Rest of bike is pretty as it left the factory - even down to the cat & original exhaust

Weight is good ….haNot bad for a porky old thingYou never seemed short of oomph last week JB, so she certainly goes well.
Mine feels loads lighter without panniers and topbox on
