How many Scots

English, living near Edinburgh in Dalkeith as married to a lovely Scots lass (even though she rides Guzzi's) and have a GSA. Biggish garden too so if any fellow Southerners are heading north and need to break the trip/spend a few days in Edinburgh you are welcome to chuck tents up.

Just to add to my previous post, there is a good bus service from and to Dalkeith. £4.00 for an all day ticket, £1.50 for a single. £3.00 for a night bus ticket. I've been learning a bit of Edinburgh history so would be happy to go into Edinburgh and give you a mini tour of the highlights, Greyfriars Bobby, Calton Hill etc. Can queue jump Edinburgh Castle as I'm a Historic Scotland member but cant get it any cheaper unfortunately, but sometimes the queues are huge, hour or so long. Some nice roads round the borders which are easily accessible.

Not working at mo so around most of the time (not a doley, was self employed in Yorkshire and not found anything here yet!)

Have worked out some nice routes from Yorkshire avoiding motorways and a lot of main roads so if I'm visiting friends down there woluld be happy to lead you up. House is on its own plot with no one around so the company would be nice!

St. Andrews born, GSA owner from Windygates.
