I've seen a 2013 (June) Adventure with 600 miles on it. The asking price is £7,999. So what was it new ? And without insulting the seller what would be a sensible offer ? 
How much were 990 Adventures new ?

£10,000 then reduced to £8,000 late last year.

Go for it Luke. I traded my 1200 GSA in for a 990 Nov 13. Price then was £8200. There was one other at £8100 at the time. Great bike.
I thought (officially) the UK dealers RRP came down to £8495 just to clear stock?

That may well have been the case but a lot of them just wanted rid of them and in my search while some wouldn't budge lower than £8495 quite a few went lower just to clear stock and one, as I said, down to £8100.

So how much would you guys offer the seller looking for £7,999 ?
Without knowing private or trader ( with warranty), extra's fitted its difficult to say

Having Had a KTM 950SM and a 990SM both from new I would go for a low mileage mint one if you can afford it . They tend to get used as intended and can be thrashed , they'll take it ok but when are you going to find another R like that ? Never used in the rain ? £7800 would buy it . It 's the bike you were after . KTM's don't need Farkles

If the owner had bought it at the right price, seems like he's actually not willing to lose very much money on it by the advertised price. I'd pm him, point out the price they were dropped too and make a offer of £1k less. What have you got to lose ? The owner is possibly thinking that the majority of punters won't know what the 990 prices dropped too before the 1190 hit the stage.

That's been on ebay since last year, I was considering a change from the GS and came across this...go in hard and beat him up on price he'll want shot of it!

Hi John, there are two on Donedeal at the moment. One is a 2011 white model in a dealers and the price €8,700 excludes €808 VRT ! The other is a 2011 blue Dakar model at around €8,500 & it's on Irish plates. But its got 13,680 miles on it and the owner was "not sure"

ya seen them, but want wait till get lump from work then walk un cahs in hand and own bike
