I just keep getting drawn back to this thread
No matter how much I tell myself I should stick with my lovely SE I keep finding myself looking at all things HP2.
Apart from the thing being way too fast for me and me never being able to do it justice I still can't help thinking it maybe an ok bike for me.
I don't do high mileage, most of the GS events I go too are in the south, I always travel light so the smaller zegas would be ok with some soft luggage, I want to do Northern Spain and the Pyranees next year and theres no real road miles there for me.
During the week I commute to work if its dry on 12 miles of B rd and when I go out for a ride on rest days it always ends up off road and the 1150 is so f*cking heavy to try and pick up when its on its side up a tight Exmoor RUPP.
I also want to try and get over to the plain more often and have a bash at a rally one day.
go for it, you know you want one

It does what it says on the tin. You need to learn how to brake the conventional non abs way as this could make the difference ending up in the back of a car. Besides that it is a great bike

Great to be able to go touring and leave the extra weight behind in the campsite when you want to go for a blast. You can't do that with a GS or GSA. Everyone has their needs. Mine are filled very nicly with the HP2
