humming noise on WC at low speed

It develops around 30mph and I can hear it only when I have visor open. I think this is some kind of air turbulence developing between front nose, forks and head stock which makes this sound. I originally thought it is coming from wheel bearings that do not have grease inside and that's why I hear that grinding noise.... but maybe it is grinding after all. Didn't mention that to my dealer yet as I thought it is wind noise... or is it radiator fan kicking in??

Anyone else noticed that?

Not sure , mine has a vibration when in 4th gear , dealer calls it gearbox harmonics , sounds like bollockd to me as not all bikes have it. Bm's idea of we haven't got a clue .

yep the demo wc gsa that i rode had a grinding noise coming up through the fork tank aperture,it was truley awful at town speeds with my visor open and tbh wouldnt be able to put up with that on a bike i owned so no order from me im afraid.there were also other things not like btw

It,s probably the Anakee tyres.

If it has Anakee 3's, change the tyres for a different brand, and the hum will go away. Or get some decent earplugs.

I have found the same on mine, definitely not engine related as it is dependant on road speed and not engine rev's, mentioned it to the dealer at it's first service, maintenance manager took the bike for a spin and commented that although a bit more audible on mine that it was a normal trait possibly exaggerated by the crud catcher fitted to mine which I think is a bit of a cop out.
Love the bike but the noise is a bit annoying at speeds up to 100Kph or so.
Nice to note that a tyre change can resolve it though, can't wait to wear my anakees out now!

I would vote on the Anakee 3's too. Mine also has that hum.

some other people on gs adventure Facebook group have it on other tyres as well. mine is on Anakee3 and it is more like grinding noise as mentioned by autogs.

I've Anakee 3's and I get more road noise than my old tourance Nexts, but no hum or grinding.

tbh i dont think its the tyres,its the thrashing of all the chains and gears.it may be normal for this engine but i really could not put up with it.

When i had anakee 3 on the gsa, there was a very noticeable loud humming noise between 60-70 mph you could hear with earplugs in, the bike had tourance next exp on before and the difference was noticeable on the ride home from the tyre shop.

Anakee 3 also on my new gs lc, definitely no strange humming noises.

Yes, at extactly 28 to 31 mph.If you pull in the clutch is clearly noticeable/ audible. Bike has done 600 miles from new,.
