Help
The battery was on its last legs but bike was running fine.
Got a new BMW battery and changed it this morning.
Now the bike runs rough and wont tick over.
Ive tried turning the throttle to max and back with ignition on to try to reset anything I might have upset. No joy:blast
Very snatchy at low or near to closed throttle settings. What have I done ? :tears :tears
can I fix it or is it a BMW job.

You've almost certainly dislodged the cable going into the adjuster on the right-hand throttle body when moving the tank.

Check it's seated properly.

How many times do I hear this one ?? :blast

It's alway's (well nearly) when the battery is replaced.

Sorry I don't know the answer as I've never had the problem. But as Steve say's it normally seems to be the throttle cables not seating.

Try doing a search.

:)

Same happened to me

Funnily enough I replaced the battery yesterday (with 1 of those Korean sealed unit batteries off fleabay) and had exactly the same problem.:thedummy I remembered reading about this running rough prob so did a quick search on here and bingo:thumb2 sorted in 30 secs.

Just like to say thanks to all the more mechanically minded peeps on this site:thumb2 :thumb2 :thumb2
You have sorted out a couple of probs I've had in the past so thanks again

Top lad.

You can buy a badge, as for priviledges, I'm sure someone will come along soon to tell you what they are.
