Nope, still doesn’t make sense. There are much cheaper ways of doing it.

You can get pretty much anywhere in the UK on a cheap flight in under a couple of hours, then just ride back. All done in a day.

Or pay someone to do it for you, like I've done a number of times since

I think someone mentioned earlier that it’s a bonding day with your new steed.

I agree.

I totally get that if it’s miles away and it’s not your bag there are good courier options.

I used delivery in Dec as I didn’t want to ride new bike in shitty weather which was forecast.

There’s no right answer,,,,,

You're right, if a bike was say only 200 miles away from me I'd probably go for it myself, easily done in a day but 1000 mile round trips are out for me.
