A fellow inmate from here bought my 1150 GS Adv, he flew down from Scotland having only seen pics of the bike, I picked him up at Cardiff airport (by car) we went back to my lock up where he spent 10 mins examining the bike and glanced at the service book (remember those?) before handing over a housebrick of cash, I escorted him to the motorway and waved goodbye from the car window as he turned West when he got to the M4 instead of East 
it took me 10 miles or so to be able to get alongside him and point him in the right direction, about 8 hours later I got a call, he was home in Fort William, that's the way to do it
