Scoops -Top Man! I’ll decline your kind offer as there’s no way I can put weight on my right leg for the 6 weeks. Coincidentally, I’m wondering whether it’s time to move on from the KTM 790 Adv and go for one of the Honda ADVs - I’m not getting any younger & mostly tootle round on the BSA, so will happily go down in power. Something to think about while my leg repairs itself after being bashed by a Gold Wing.

I have as much fun on small bikes as I do the larger versions. My 390 Duke has been to Nice three times and other fairly long trips.

There's something fun about having to work a smaller bike more than you do the others which like modern cars insulate you from what's going on and are often too good to be involving and fun.

I remember leaving Nice on the 390 with two days to get to the ferry Caen and looking forward to it.

I'm sure it's made on a farm on the outskirts of Gloucester.

It's very very nice and somewhat addictive for a child like me who has too much time on their hands and far too many modes of transport to get me there quickly.

Anyway, off to Kalymnos in a couple of weeks, rock climbing with a mate. We’ve climbed hundreds of routes together in the last 40 years in various countries and last December he was getting a triple bypass and I was getting some surgery, we agreed when we were fit we’d go climbing so off we will go on the 19th.
