I'm sure it's made on a farm on the outskirts of Gloucester.

It's very very nice and somewhat addictive for a child like me who has too much time on their hands and far too many modes of transport to get me there quickly.
They are customers of mine and are a lovely family

The farm has an ice cream parlour too and they have opened the parlour at Gloucester Docks too

Tasted their Wholly Gelato Ice Cream at Gloucester Services in June and you’re right ….it’s delicious

Been awake since 0400 ish with nerve pain so going to make an earlier start here in the foothills of the Pyrenees and skip the free breakfast which isn't till 0830.
The only forecast rain of the trip is possibly due late afternoon today so might beat it.
Heading over the Pyrenees into France today.

First time I've really ridden Wing in the dark

May have been a late finish ? Rather then an early start?

I've never been to the farm but several friends have. I'm a very regular visitor to their parlour in Gloucester Docks and even have a loyalty card!

I don`t know how they do it, I couldn`t stomach it before 11:00 and even then only if I am with friends.
I need to sleep after a pint or two in the afternoon.
Builders across the road from my German mate, are on the vino tinto at 08:00!

Each to their own.

That woman does have a passing resemblance to the loud grunty things that sleep under my orange trees of a night. :D

maybe she has just come off a shift in the hospitality sector, providing comfort to the truckers using the 24 hour facility? Waiting for the first bus to arrive to take her home to sleep.
I certainly had the odd drink at 7am before going to bed after a night shift when at Xerox. Wake around 4pm for brekkie, lunch at 8.30pm, work at 10pm and dinner around 3am.

Stopped for lunch at same cafe as I did in 2009 in Porsche Boxster just below Col de Pourtalet

The N260A west of Ainsa to Biesca was stunning

Cracking day.
Got to hotel in Argeles Gazost at 1445.
Rain due about 1600.
It clouded over whilst I was having lunch and rain was in the air but then I rode up and over the Col d'Aubisque and the sun came out again on the east side.
Then summited the Col de Soulor which I did in the opposite direction with Evskiy in 2021.
Think the Col d'Aubisque is a new one for me plus I'd only been over the Col de Pourtalet previously

Few more pics.

Needed to do a bit of washing so grabbed travel wash and couldn't work out why it wasn't foaming -I'd grabbed the toothpaste tube rather than travel wash !
Been a long day 😀

I have as much fun on small bikes as I do the larger versions. My 390 Duke has been to Nice three times and other fairly long trips.

There's something fun about having to work a smaller bike more than you do the others which like modern cars insulate you from what's going on and are often too good to be involving and fun.

I remember leaving Nice on the 390 with two days to get to the ferry Caen and looking forward to it.
Agreed, I now have a G310GS the 'smallest ' road bike I've owned, it's such good fun

I've had to make some adjustments to my riding and expectations though
