Indicators staying lite after ignition off

I have an itermitant fault. When turning ignition off sometimes the indicators (running lights, normally on when ignition on) stay on. Its not the parking light feature as indicator switch wasnt activated when switching ignition off. Spoke to BMW UK they suggest contamination of indicator switch.

A. has anyone else had this issue?
B. is accessing the ignition switch for cleaning relatively easy, I'm new to GSA

If so give it to the dealer to sort

It’s under warranty. It’s going in for repair. I’m just curious so I can resolve if it happens whilst touring

With the ignition turned off.

If you disconnect the battery for 30 seconds when the indicators are on.
Then reconnect.

Do the indicators come back on?

Not tired that yet. Does this reset some setting somewhere ?

It'll reset everything.

But with fault finding. The more information the better.
