Maybe you have the computer switched to stopwatch mode using the info button which stops the info button doing anything else.
RTFM Chapter 4 page 47 ish...
If the info button is faulty you can switch to using the buttons on the computer
"Using stopwatch as Lap-
Timer
Press button 1 and button 2
at the same time and hold
them down until the reading
changes.
FLASH (redline warning) appears,
along with ON or OFF.
Press button 2.
LAP (Lap-Timer) appears,
along with ON or OFF.
Repeatedly press button 1 until
the reading shows the mode
you want.
ON: Stopwatch operated by
means of the INFO button on
the handlebar fitting.
OFF: Stopwatch operated by
means of button 2 in the instrument
cluster.
To confirm the setting, press
button 1 and button 2 at
the same time and hold
them down until the reading
changes.
The settings are accepted and
the display returns to its most
recent reading.
The most recent setting is retained
if you do not confirm the
new settings."
