I almost pre-ordered the N3 today, but I decided to go for the N2 instead. I don't need the quick release because my bike never spends any time on the street.
I had a K7 on my previous GS 1200 which I found a pain to install with my "
OCD no cable must be showing" mentality, and with the HEX EZ-CAN required (because I don't do "tapping" or "splicing") as well, it was an expensive toy. Whilst the N3 doesn't need a HEX, it looks like it still needs a feed for the quick release block

. I found, though, that I really didn't bother downloading the multitude of files very often, much less sift through the hours of footage to find something interesting. I've had a (barely used) INSTA 360 with a remote for about three years so I will use that now.
Having spent the best part of today looking at the MRA APP (use the route planner) and buying the lifetime option, I then looked at Capuride, Chiggee and came across the INNOVV which I didn't know about. I'm not paying £500 for a Chiggee. I like INNOVV stuff - I started with a K1 and sold that on here - it is very well built, and their stuff is all CNC, but again, I don't need to pay x2 the price (£508!) to have cameras I barely use. So the N2 it is. Plug & play straight out of the box and no installation.
I normally use my phone, but there are many advantages to having a standalone, dedicated and connected system with Carplay. So, all being well, it's likely that soon I will have a nearly new BMW smartphone adapter for the nav cradle available to buy if anyone wants one.
