Too late I already fecked it up properly, snapped a piece of the LCD screen off![]()
Sorry Mav, been away. I did say it was fiddly, the tricky bit is getting the metal surround around the LCD unit off without damaging the screed (as you appear to have discovered yourself. I found it just flicks out with an appropriately placed screwdriver blade under one of the left clamp thingys. The PCB is screwed onto the lower plastic casing with five tiny wee screws, four under the LCD screen and one over to the left under the speedo disc. Let me know how you get on with a replacement, I imagine it will be an expensive exercise.
) the CDU won't transfer the correct odo reading to the display unit, again possibly to do with a different configuration in the PCB. I'd have thought the PCB from a Megamoto might be a better option, you'd get the rev counter and the nice HP logo on the dash as well
but I'd be interested to know if you get a 1200GS unit to work.
But everything is now flashing and going mental.
