The one off report in the RT forum is not entirely illuminating. What is entirely possible is that the fellow was, shall we say, maybe somewhat opaque as to his garaging arrangements? We have seen similar things on this forum, where bods advocate lying as to where they live, in order to reduce their premium costs.
There again, it might just be a new thing? Either way, it’s hard to believe that insuers will be selling on pictures of bods’ garages to third parties, thereby increasing (not reducing) the theft risk.
I shan’t be losing too much sleep over it, should they ask me for a picture of Wapping Towers. That being said, the underwriter at Hiscox did Google up the street view of my gaff, when I insured my cars and bikes with them.
