Hi folks

My insurance is due for renewal next month. I'm after recommendations for insurance companies that don't baulk if you've done a few mods to your bike? :augie

I'm currently with Bennetts but they've not been too mod friendly!

Cheers in advance!

Mark

EBike haven't batted an eyelid at my mods: exhaust, Metal Mule panniers and crash bars.

Some folk have said their experince of claiming with EBike has been dire, but since I've not had to, I can't comment. All I can say is the guy I spoke to at the UK call centre was extremely helpful when I renewed and changed address last week...

I was with Bennetts but didnt like the auto renewal process. Im currently with Carol Nash for an f650 twin , no real issues on extras.

As I've posted elsewhere, Carole Nash have just quoted me £1435!!!! My renewal from Bennett's is £360, which is about £140 up on last year. The other quotes I've had are around the £220 mark.

Try Bike Sure.No issues with mods, the price for insurance this year the same as last year, they don't charge you £40 for any change on the policy as other company did.As I don't have a garage where I live I have to park the bike at different address. That was a "massive problem " for hastings direct while Bike Sure was perfectly fine with it:thumb2.

Spoke too soon!

When they emailed me the documentation, I noticed the model was for an F800R!!!! FFS!

Once I'd pointed their error out they updated the details.
New premium, £1029!! Why such a difference???
I've now got to ring em back tomorrow & cancel!

Sorry to be nosy but what bike do you have, I have F650GS twin and currently insured with Footman james but wont be able to renew with them as they no longer insure modern bikes so will need to shop about and like most GS owners bike is any thing but standard  also 52 but have not acted my age in the past 10 points oops :augie

I've got an F800GS, which isn't massively modded.
I've spoken to IAM Surety, they're doing it at the original price. :beerjug:

I tried Footman James but as you say they're no longer doing modern bikes.
The next lowest quote was with the Policy Shop, closely followed by Swintons but I won't touch them with a barge pole!
