40 actually and I've had BMs since I was 30
Nobody is slagging it off, merely pointing out the change in direction that the new bike seems to have taken.
There was a time when BMs were for those "in the know", other riders would save their nods for others,
you'd be sneered at and forced to park at the other end of the car park. Obviously there will be the ex 1200 owners who will be hoping for their old bike with more, but BM are clearly looking to the mass market, traditionally the bm Naysayers. They have caved in and changed their excellent indicator system for a shitty one button type system to prove my point!
I'm not suggesting that's a silly idea, or that it's a suprise, but as someone who has grown to appreciate BMWs quirkiness, I can't help thinking that the marketing men are just selling the brand now rather than the product. Maybe the product is so good now that there is no need to sell it, or maybe the brand is the only thing that seperates it from all the other cross tourers
