Hi,

Comments on above please. I currently have a blackberry bold and all my mates have iphones. They seem to rave all the time. Am I missing out. My biggest gripe with the blackberry is the trackball and crud. But will a touchscreen be any more robust when I am working in mucky situations and most of the time have it in my overall top pocket?

Why also if they are so good have there been so may for sale in the for sale section recently as unwanted upgrades etc. Is it just people already have one and don't want to move?

Thanks

Tom

poss reason

possible reason is the Apple iphone G4s comes out in June

Hi Tom,
I've had one for a couple of weeks now and still getting used to it but it has exceeded my expectations so far. I've never got on with the BB's, i've had one for work and didnt like it (probably due to not using it enough). I have a silicon sleeve on mine to help stop scratches and you can get the usual leather covers for them. Not sure of the robustness of the screen yet tho, sure someone will be along shortly.
There's some real good Apps you can get for it (other obile devices also have downloadable apps ie Nokia, HTC etc)

Actually fella. They are better than you can possibly imagine until you own one. I had an original iPhone and now have a 16gb 3GS. It genuinely impresses me every single day.
They are absolutely stunning!

Im gadgetphobic but love mine. It's had real abuseand has given no probs. :thumb2

Posting this on my iPhone at the mo. It's been invaluable whilst Ive been away; found me a fab hotel in Erfoud and a veggie restaurant in Jerez. The iPod function keeps me entertained and the apps hours of endless fun :)

Been using BB's at work for a few years now and had an iPhone for about a year - iPhone in my eyes is a much better device, just wish battery life was better....

Would't have anything else, got an otterbox defender cover, bulky but I'm a clumsy b****r and they are tooo nice to scratch.

Been using mine for about a month superb piece of kit - cant get it to download UkGser though? any thoughts?

:clap:clap:clap

I think there should be an iPhone section on here so peeps can add tips and tricks etc, i'm sure there's loads more that can be done with these things :D

Thanks guys,

Why the £12 for insurance - the applecare was only about £60 from the 02 website?

Am I better going for new or 2nd hand. Still in contract so can't get one that way so currently thinking 2nd hand.

How easy are they for someone to cause problems with if I do buy 2nd hand - is there anything I need to be aware of? Im on 02 so that should be fine for the network but do they get locked to a computer or user?

Can you add the applecare onto a 2nd hand one?

Thanks

Tom

I think the iPhone really comes into its own if you have the associated data package, so if you're going secondhand you'll want to have a data element to your current contract or get a 'bolt-on'.

I'm facing a similar dilemma at present - Bold 9700 (this is sans trackball) or 16gb iPhone 3gs. Always thought I was more a physical keyboard type so leaning toward the BB at present. I do have some experience of the iPhone interface via the iPod Touch I currently have and I'm not as quick or accurate as I'd like to be on the touch keyboard.

I just have a bookmark set in Safari. What are you trying to download? :nenau

Whenever I open the site in safari via the browser or a book mark the site loads but with a building block in the centre of the page ratehr than text??
