Just back from > 1,900 miles over 5 days on the GSA.

490 miles per day on days 1 & 5 with a mixture of weathers, roads, speeds & obstacles over each day. The GSA was faultless in every aspect and keeps up with the racier stuff when it needs to, whilst day long comfort & protection is taken for granted.

Is this the best bike around today... A question we asked ourselves over a few beers whilst admiring the RS Multistrada & M1000XR pics..

There will come a time when the 1300 GSA is the natural progression I guess & I hope it's as good as this!

Lots of tales of woe and technical challenges, but they are the minority I hope - let's have some good news posts. Now to go clean the bugs & shite off..

Bikes are like music, everyone has different tastes.
Some people hate the GSA because its too big, others like it for that reason.

Personally if your looking for an all rounder, I don't think you can go far wrong with the GS/GSA

I used to say yes……….until every fucker and his sister bought one!! One of the main charms of motorcycling is the individuality and a little notoriety. That’s all gone thanks to the popularity of the GSA.
Doubt I’ll buy another one 🤔

I get that too which is why I have the hots for the RS Multi'.

While I could (just about!) justify blowing the lifetime toy budget on a new GSA to replace my 9 year old one, the price of the Duke is beyond stupid. And I still think the GSA would turn out to be a better compromise.

For me the GS is more usable than the competition. Ducati and KTM have some scary red-lines which I would not know what to do with lol.

Too big, too heavy and too complicated for me. No doubt they are good, but I don't want one. The 1250gs was ideal for me before my injury. I never wanted a gsa. My arse range is less than a gsa's tank range, so the extra 100 miles range is wasted on me. The new 1300 gs doesn't float my boat. It looks like every other big adventure bike and most of the tech would be unused.
A KTM 790 adventure with Honda reliability would suit me nicely. Lighter, simpler, less power but still more than capable for my ability and needs.

Imagine hiking the Pennine Way and turning up with all your gear in a Tesco shopping bag.

I didn't want a rucksack, cos everyone else has one 🤣

Agreed - The GSA is a behemoth beast of a bike & for sure, not for everyone.

The 900 GSA looks good too.

I'm on one in a few days time... We'll see..
