For the first time ever (in over 40 years) I opened the garage door, looked at the bike and though "Not today"
Ok Im not a youngster any more but motorcycling is still my reason to work and main hobby. The bike is very good at every thing. I have had no major problems with it but------ I do not feel attached to it. Its almost a bit dull.
I never ride over 100mph. I don't rev past 5000rpm, I don't deck the rocker boxes, I don't pull stoppies. The bike is way beyond my riding requirements.
I have alternated between love/hate on this machine, its just so dull the the back roads I ride 95% of the time.
After looking at a classic bike outing I saw six or seven bikes which I know would bring a smile to my face.
Anybody with a TR5 Adventre spare please contact me.
OK its not the bike to tour Europe on but seeing the number of riders taking the Annual or 6000m service the GS1200 is not used for high mileage by many owners.
