I think it’s not that complicated.It links during initial setup unless you explicitly tell it to fuck off, then it is impossible to unlink it, does not matter if you do not have the app, or even if you try a restore, the bastards have deliberately made it impossible to undo - as stated the only way to stop the bastards spying on you is ot use the hidden diagnostic menu.

Unlink the XT from Bluetooth on your phone, there are maybe 2-3 Bluetooth connections so delete them all. Also delete any Bluetooth connections to the phone on the XT.
Uninstall the Drive app on your phone.
Then download the drive app again and go through set up but be very careful to skip the step that links it to Explore.
That’s from memory but should be more or less correct.
Then, apart from “colour coding” the tracks the easiest way is to toggle them on/off manually.
