JohnGS1100 Tuning Chip

I have to say that the original and my chip can fitet to the main socket of ECU.
No needed additional socket!!.

It is an open unlocked chip, there is no locked on the hardware of chip.

Many bikers has on the bikes an additional socket, that is an aftermarket and locked chip for copyrigth of the work on remaping. This socket converts the data of chip. The chip standalone can not be copy to another (empty) chip, that's all.

That has a big problem. The comunication of CHIP and ecu is very very slow, also makes a confuse to ECU, so the chip gives bad results to the bike.

Here is a photo for a chip on additional socket :

If you see this additional socket, that means that the chip is not the stock original, it is an aftermarket (bad) chip. I have all these chips (powerchips, superchips and more others), i was try and i see that there is not improvements to the bike, will give just a confuse to ECU.

Here is the unlocked chip wich fited on ecu :

So if you see an additional coscket in to ecu, that means that the chip is not the original but it is just an aftermarket chip, it is dangerus and must be replaced to an original or any other modified unlocked chip.

If you fit my chip on the additional socket will not work, the bike will not start, so no needed this socket, remove it and fit the chip in to the base socket of ecu and the bike will start correctly and will have great results after few (10-20) miles until load all improvement maps.

I made my chips unlocked, i do not care about copyright because i would like the communication CHIP and ECU will be faster and correct.

I try to management for low cost, so i believe that if someone biker need my chip, he just buy and not copy from another buyer. Also each chip for each bike is different for hardware setup of the bike.

There is diferent chip for free air filter, for de-cat or aftermarket system exhaust and for each year model.

Yes. I should make i special chip with no mods at injection maps and mods at ignition timing amd expand timing advance .

Pm me please :)

John made similar bin for my r1200c, it is quite good, I used it during a year. But for fuel enrichment I use LC-2 controller with wideband lambda setted 6% richer then 14.7:1.

john the chip man !

Hello how good is the chip for the Bmw k1100lt as ive just purchased a k1100lt just need your views john thanks from sheene hope you get my message as my face book page is blocked grrr

It is great !! Huge torque from very low rpms, more power at high by better consumption.
The injection fuel will be little richer, the timing advance faster, that;s all give the more power to K1100LT.
Send me pm please for more details.

Hi John,
Been running your stage 4 chip for the last 18 months...has been on a few long trips and very happy with the performance...I see you now have stage 8 - would you recommend an upgrade?
Cheers

Just fitted one of John's latest chips to the 1150GS

WOW what a difference it has made.... very impressed with the additional low down grunt that this has produced.

Thanks John :thumb2

I have tried most of Johns chips and they have made a marked change to my bike, I am currently on stage 8 and its the best one so far for my bike especially the power to fuel consumption, I consistently get around 430km out of a 22L GS tank.

So, tell me, what kind of improvement can I expect to my performance and fuel econemy on my 1997 R1100GS fitted with a Remus exhaust (no cat, straight through) ??

Hi friend.
The improvement of torque is about +20% at low revs of rpms (1.100-2.300) and +10% at middle and high rpms.
The consumption will be better 10-20%.

Hi John, I have a standard R1100GS, 1998. I dont seem to be able to find out which of your chip upgrades does what for this bike? I'm not going anywhere exotic so 95 RON fuel is what's being used.
A brief summary of which stage chip does what would be helpful and does the CAT Code plug still do anything? At present, my bike is without one
Cheers, Nick

I've got a stage 5 chip and have been happy. Would love to change to one of your latest chips. Can you do an upgrade deal for me. If you don't ask you don't get 😉

Very impressive

Yesterday I had my first decent ride since fitting one of Johns stage 8 chips to my single spark 1150GS. I did about 150 miles on a variety of roads and at varied pace.

I've owned my bike for over 10 years now so I think I know it pretty well and I can honestly say the bike has never ran better than it did on that trip yesterday. It was an absolute pleasure to ride. More power is noticeable everywhere. Low and mid range torque is definately stronger, but the surprise I wasn't expecting was a new found rush of power from about 5k up to the red line. I don't often use that part of the rev range (who needs to on these?) but I found it quite addictive on overtakes.

No real downsides noted at the moment but tick over seems slightly higher than usual and at car park type speeds the throttle seems a bit more snatchy than before. I'll spend some time balancing the throttles when I get the chance.

Really impressed John. Excellent work.:clap

Pm sent re chip for standard 1998 1100gs UK model non cat standard exhaust and standard filter but fitted with rocket cam sprockets.
