Roger what you tell about sparks. Did you try some diferent models, what are you use now ?

I haven't tried many different spark plugs, so don't have an opinion. I first tried replacing the stock plugs with a popular Autolite singe-electrode but eventually went back to the stock dual electrode plugs. On the twin spark I went two heat ranges hotter on the bottom plug and found that they ran a little cleaner.

A big thing I learned is that the Motronic MA 2.2 and 2.4 system and coils are very voltage sensitive, any excess starter current draw or increased battery resistance leads to an excess voltage spike during starting. That spike can cause the Motronic to chase its tail and move the timing around for 10-20 seconds while it settles down. (I even temporarily added a second battery to run the Motronic and Coils to prove this.)

Another key to a good-starting Oilhead is that the voltage on the coils (stick coils especially) remains high. This means on some twin-spark models, without the "2nd Load Relay" that you get much smoother engine performance if you rewire the coils through a dedicated relay. I was very surprised after rewiring the coils how much smoother the engine is both at idle and at high-power.

So this and having a sound battery/starter pair seem much more important than the choice of plugs.

My latest hard job :

Dyno results from R1100S.
1999 year model (single spark).

Stock Hp : 86,3 Hp / 7.676 rpms.

Firts trying for test (stage 6 chip) : 92,3 Hp / 7.617 rpms.

Stage 8 chip : 94,6 Hp / 7.478 rpms.

Stage 9 chip : 95,4 Hp / 7.473

The torque goes up to 1 Kgr at all revs of rpms.

At the road the diferent is huge !!

Waiting for consumption..

I must send you the stage8 update chip for sure. Send me a pm with details of bike and you fully address please.
Also did you check the color of ccp ?

Did you check sparks, lambda (oxygon sensor) and CCP?
Take a photo please from you fusebox to checking,

Hi John.

Hi Jiff.

I recommend the stage 8 chip. WIll work great for your bike. More torque and power by the best consumption.
Send me a pm for details please.

John never said to buy one, he meant to say with a GS911

Yes if has a friend to help or a BMW service point.
He was check all of the bikes expect lambda sensor. I think there is the problem.

I do not know nothing about GS911.

# Roger help please, what did you see ?
