Woo Hoo !!!! :thumb Just bought a gleaming red 1200GS today. Left a deposit on it and will collect it later in the week :D :D

welcome to the board Blobbs...and a red 1200...what can I say..pure class... :D

Thanks one and all. I took the demonstrator out for a small test run (3 hours/130 miles :D ) So impressed that the "I have to get one of those" monster took over

all round bike

welcome to the world of the best all round bike on the planet. For me it replaced my 1300 Pan(which was excellent and my 2nd Pan), my VFR (which was my 3rd)and of course its a GS...(and the same weight as the little demon G/S).........so off road we go !!!! The complete package.enjoy yourself :thumb :clap

Had a Pan, and a VFR 750. At the mo I have a 600 Fazer ( which is now for sale if anyone is interested :D ).

Yellow is nice but Red is nicer still :P

fixed ;)

Welcome Blobbs. Shame they had run out of the faster/sexier Blue ones :D

I sold my Fazer 600 (also Blue) a few months ago. I might do a poll to see how many GS owners had a Fazer in the past..... or maybe not.

Great choice Blobbs - a small but effective cosmetic change is to replace the orange indicator lenses with Nippy Normans clear lenses. Orange and red do clash awfully don't you think? Once done - ring it's feckin' neck. Enjoy and pop in if you're ever nearby. Cheers.

ps blobbs check out the ireland site, the lads are organising a weeknd run, coming up soon,

Thanks everyone. Picking the bike up tomorrow. I saw the rideout on the Ireland thread. Have to work up some more brownie points tho' - used up them all up buying the bike :D . Only short runs allowed at present- unless I can talk the better half into going for a long run on the Sunday to try out the pillion seat for distance" :D :D ... Ah I feel a plan hatching :D :D

Just bought a new one for next year.

New to this so please excuse the primitive submission :tosser I've ordered a red 1200GS ( with grey Bits ) for March next year :ymca ( bloody hell wrong smiley, I've turned gay ) Sorry I shouldn't joke in front of the boyfriend! Can't wait after spending 7 years away from riding. Last bike was a Triumph Tiger which was written-off by a blind car driver. Tad nervous after all this time. Do you think that a back to crashing course would be useful?
