Just bought a Vstrom

question: if using that emulator for say nav, does it drain your i phone power as fast as say MRA or other apps?

Back home after USA work trip , and SW Motech luggage has arrived.
So, 41 litre Dusc top box which can also be used as a pannier plus their Adventure Rack which can be bought separately plus then Dusc fitting kit .

Great quality, as with all SW Motech stuff plus very light at 4.1 kgs.

Plus you can’t beet a small top box on a bike 😜 @SBV

Great bike. My only niggle with it being a shorty is it felt a fair bit more top heavy than my 650, but that aside, I'd have one before I bought a GS1300. You could buy 2 Vstroms for the price of a GS and real world for mostly road touring, I think I'd rather have one. They seem to have a knack at Suzuki of dialling in suspension really well from the factory and that Vee twin engine is sublime. More than enough poke and good bottom end torque. Pretty easy home maintenance too. Good to see it has a bolt on rear subframe, unlike some of the competition. Looks nicely finished too.

I’d never ridden a 1050.
Only took it out as wife’s BMW was being serviced and the dealer had it in the showroom .
Was so impressed with 800 DE in Gran Canaria that I thought I’d try the 1050.
It was a revelation .
The smoothest v twin I’ve ever ridden . It’ll even pull away in 6th from 25 mph !!
Same TFT and switch gear as 800.
Suspension seems very well set up .
Bonus was the very clever seat which lets you raise it by 20mm by using the brackets stored under pillion seat .
When I went back the next day to collect an invoice id forgotten , the dealer mentioned the exhaust that came with the bike that hadn’t been mentioned the day before .
For some reason the previous owner had removed it but included it in sale .
So I got a nice titanium GR Moto slip on to replace the huge OE dustbin .

I'm liking that. It's a lot of bike for the money and much like the S10, very underrated.
Yes, very similar . Years of gentle tweaking and refining . Not a desirable bike as such but very under the radar and pretty much perfect for me .

Took a 21 plate 1050 out today, lovely engine pondering on whether to chop my GSX 1250FA in.
Has 14,500 miles on so is there a big service at 15000?
Got a great deal .
