Anyone else noticing the tighter knee bend while riding the R1250GS. Measured mine and it was 75 degrees, which is painful. I reckon my 2014 lc was better.

Is your seat in the 'Low' setting.

If you flip the widget over, it'll raise the seat.

Yes, I have noticed the same thing my previous LC GS’s had the low seat in the high position my 1250 has the standard seat in the low position

Only having a 29 inch inside leg I can’t use the higher position, didn’t notice this at first but now I have started having longer rides it is annoying

theres an adjuster on sale at Nippys that allows you more adjustment on the seat heights..try the std seat in normal position on the 1250 see how you get on

Having come from a GSA I thought it was just how a GS was. My legs got quite cramped in the low position. Raising the seat helps but I’m not keen on the gap around the seat and at 5’ 10” I’m back on tip toes in auto mode:blast

Considering lower pegs but need to wait until the piggy bank has some money in it.

Greater room between seat and footrests are one of the reasons many riders choose to ride adventure type bikes (well it is mine).
BMW have fcuked up again with a basic requirement. They seem more preoccupied with producing bikes overloaded with tech
instead of concentrating on the fundamentals.

Took at 1250GSA out for a 2 hr test ride whilst my 1200 being serviced....and yes I thought the knee angle was a bit tighter too. For someone with s**t knees, that a future consideration !!

That is one benefit of the low chassis version - you can have the standard seat in the high position to maximise knee angle, while retaining the ability to make secure contact with the ground.

Check your ESA setting, that will alter seat to footrest height too. Yours may be on min or auto.

But ain't the seat and footrests attached the frame, so will move up and down together at the same measurement from each other,
no matter what suspension setting's are selected?

Yeh, that's true. :-) it's the height from seat to ground that changes. Silly me. :-)

I thought the difference between GS and GSA was just in the suspension strut heights. Aren't the frames and therefore seat to peg relationships the same between the two models, given the same seat and same seat low/high position?
