Kove 800 X

Another cheap bike on the market. It’s got to be good for the customers having a bigger selection of manufacturers. Let’s hope the quality is reasonable.
I like the look of the CFmoto 800mt.

Its fine
The Kove 450 is proving a good bike
My friend has a CF Moto 800 something or other and in the 10,000 he’s done since March, nothing has gone wrong ….unlike his other KTM

I'm really looking forward to seeing one of these in the flesh - if the reliability is there, they will cost a lot of BMW and KTM sales. While I'd love a £12k F900GS, saving £3.5k on the ticket price is very appealing...

Saw one in Asturias the other day . His mate was on a CF Moto 450. Both very happy with their bikes

I have a stupid question? - you’re the same age as me give or take and on a good income with decent bank balance…………so why the fuck are you messing with those cheap Chinese (or Indian) things?! 😂
I’m assuming it’s cause your a decent guy and want to rejuvenate the biking world for younger and poorer guys?!
If yeah, it’s a noble cause 👍
Less and less young dads can afford German, Austrian, American or even Japanese scoots.
Or maybe you’re just cheap skate?? lol

Wonder if you’d fly a cheap Chinese plane over a Boeing too?! 🤣🤣
That’ll be the day I keep both feet firmly on the ground!!

You’re right. It was a stupid question.

I like over engineered motorcycles like Harleys etc. I think Chinese stuff uses cheap metal for the frames and extrusions. Accepted the electronics are similar though.
I’ll never buy any of that stuff. I want my remaining biking years to be astride quality. Closed minded - I know. 🤔

Erm….is that a BMW as your avatar ? Not a quality bike then 😆

The boss has just told me the wings going back to Transylvania next year..

You’re blinkered
Some of the Kove and CF Moto are really good bikes nowadays
If you like being astride a BMW or a KTM ….just because of the badge it wears, is synonymous with quality, then take off those rose tinted specs
They too are probably using Chinese sourced components too
At least Kove are honest about their origins 🤔😉

JB is spot on in saying that there’s barely a so called ‘premium’ western brand that isn’t using Chinese made components, or even assembling bikes in China, and that in turn makes the 2008 (I think) T100 Bonnie for sale (assume its still for sale) on the site such a steal. Made in Hinckley, mostly UK or European components etc, etc. Not many bikes at that price with that level of EU origin around. I’ve spent a not inconsiderable amount of time working over there and China runs the entire spectrum, from cheap chat, to super high quality. So their impact on motorcycling is likely to mirror their impact on cars - I’ll leave you to consider that one.

have you seen the Voge 900? Uses the same engine as the F900 and comes with luggage for £9k. If you add all the extras to the F900GS to get to the same level of toys, it comes to nearly £16k.

Hell will freeze before I buy a Chinese bike!! I’ve had Chinese stuff fail at the most critical point (a weld on a bike lift). I simply don’t trust their steel quality or welding!! Certainly not bombing about at 100+ on something they’ve made!
Health and safety is non existent in Schenzhen or wherever they make their bikes. No thanks 🙂↔️

It’s all about the Quality Control set out by the manufacturer, not where it’s actually put together. Chinese manufacturers simply don’t adhere to the same stringent standards as Western ones.
Chinese stuff is cheap and ultimately disposable. I’d like to think my German and American bikes are still worth something after I’ve taken care of them. 🤔
It’s your dick - stick it where you want! 😬

………not all, but I’ve seen some with the crash bars mounted directly to the frame. So, when you drop and bend your crash bars - you’re also bending your frame 👏
