Kove 800 X

I’ve ordered one.
The 2026 800x Pro.
Hopefully here for the end of May.
Well pleased.

Was up at the NEC a couple of years ago and looking at a newly released Chinese bike on a plinth at the centre of the (Herald?) display. Mate and I had to point out to the guy on the stand that one of the welds on the subframe had missed the joint by about 2mm. And that was one of their display bikes! It's your neck!
Just sayin'

I was down at Ryder motorcycles in Kent on Friday. (The Kove dealer for the south east. )
Took out the Rally version then swapped and had a ride on the X Pro.
Confirmed to me that the X Pro is the right choice for me.
Had a good look over both bikes and I’m impressed. Is it Honda quality, nope. Is it as good as some other Japanese / European bikes? Yes I think so.
I’m pleased with my prospective purchase.
For the price I’m paying I think it a very good buy.

What was the difference that influenced your choice?

The Rally was a bit more Off Road biased and is even lighter than the X Pro. Which if you looking for a 80-20 off road bike then the rally is the bike for you.
The X Pro is still incredibly light but only a few kg more than the rally. It also has cross spoked wheels and tubeless tyres, quick shifter, ride by wire throttle and more rider modes. A more 50-50 bike but still very off road capable. Also the X Pro has a steering damper as standard which at motorway speeds made a difference.
A steering damper is available as an option on the rally and the rally I rode was on knobbly tyres and was flighty on the road at 70mph.

Are you in the market for one dean0n0 ?

No, too big for me, but it's always good to know.
Don’t
let that put you off mate, you should try one. It’s tiny!
I have a 32 leg and I can completely flat foot it as the X Pro seat is much lower than the Rally seat.
I’m thinking of ordering the rally seat which is taller or even the tall rally seat which is + 3 cm.
My mate test rode the X Pro and he’s 5’9ā€ and he flat footed too.
